I was so mad that I couldn't go to the show at Gillete but thanks to Boston Music Spotlight's great review I felt like I was there! Sounds like it was a night of sing-alongs. If you missed the show you should definitely check out the review here: bostonmusicspotlight.com/article.php?id=2391

Billy Joel didn't say the quote on the top of the page. Elton John did.

Saw Billy twice in Glasgow last week and he was fantastic, his voice sounds better than ever. He did a mix of old and new material and it's difficult to pick out a favourite although it was great to hear 'Scenes from an Italian restaurant'. Thursday's performance began with a chorus of 'Amarillo' from Peter Kay, which I could have done without...if there was time to spare I would rather have had another number from Billy! Can't wait till he tours again, and wish I could go to the free conert in Rome.

Dear all, what a pleasure to hear so many fellow Billy fans' thoughts. I saw him in Glasgow this week (my 5th Billy concert) and he is the best of all time - no question. To the gentleman who claims 'Billy is no John Lennon', you're quite right - Billy's material is far more eclectic, melodic, meaningful, educational and lyrically stronger. John Lennon (and the Beatles) were geniuses for their time and Billy himself is a huge fan - but Billy wins this one hands down. Nobody else is capable of doing what he does on stage or in an album. Elton in concert is quite poor and he's written a lot of tosh as well as some great stuff. Springsteen is highly over-rated and so are most of the top artists today (like U2 and Coldplay.) Rock on Billy - you'll always be the best and to be honest, no one is close to you - alive or dead. Don't take any Sh#t from anyone!

Just wanted to say saw Billy at Southampton Rose Bowl 14/7/06, haven't seen him since 1990 and I think he's better than ever. I'm still hearing the music ! ! ! It's also great that he has a new CD out - the only gripe is it would be great to have a new song. After the concert last week he's still got the talent. The age range at the concert was wide (as young as 14 to people well into 60's). Great Great Great - long may he go on.

I went to see Billy Joel twice at Wembley. Monday night was awesome but Wednesday night was incredible. I was leaning on the stage and I had a fantastic time. He is incredible, the music is amazing and it still gives me a rush when I think about the concerts - I hope its not the last time we will see him in England! Thanks for coming back.

Just felt I had to add a comment. Billy Joel appeared at the NEC in Birmingham UK on 5th July 2006. I was fortunate to know a guy who doted on Billy Joel and 'gave' me, very kindly some tickets to see him. WOW!!! I believe there are stars and there are SUPER STARS, and Billy is certainly in the Super Star catagory. The music was fantastic and Billy's piano playing, charisma and singing voice was outstanding. I SALUTE YOU AMERICA FOR PRODUCING A LIFE LONG LEGEND.......... LONG MAY HE REIGN!! XX

back to quigleys 2md comment, i have to say i cannot agree more on the fact that today's music is pretty much junk. everything had the same kinda sound and lyrics and most of it is just crap. they really knew how to do it back in the good old days.

I first saw big bill in 84 on his innocent man tour. Superb perofrmance at the wembley arena and a SUPERB SINGER SONGWRITER, unrivalled by the likes of sprinstein et all. He still owes all of the fans in england another tour. But we'll forgive him if he decides to hang up his piano. Good Luck in your marriage Billy, you deserve happiness. God bless mate Pete

Paul McCartney is great in his own way, but without Lennon's input most of Paul's lyrics are very bubble gummish. John and the Beatles, mostly John, changed a generation. So that new age music is where its at today, which leaves alot to be desired. People can say what they want. People can listen to the type of music they want and that's okay. Music is not the same, will not have the same meaning, structure, or melodies that John Lennon, the writers for Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis those days are gone and it is now all junk. That is what makes the world go round and we all have our opinions. Take Care Quigley18

i dont know what anyone else thinks but i think billy joel is the most amazing musical mastermind to ever walk earth. maybe its his versitility but i think it might be his history. i love to look at his career like in 1987 and look at all the pics and then at him now. everything has evolved. ROCK ON BILLY!! uve got more talent in ur pinkie fingernail than all of the artists out there put together.
