Amitabh Bachchan is going to be watching the Bollywood show at the Manchester Opera House on Thursday night (9 Nov)! My girlfriend works in the ticket office and has been helping her manager sort out the security. The show starts at 7.30pm so I'm going to get there for 7pm. AB is far beyond being an actor. His impressive personality, dignified behaviour, unmatched talent and concern for the society has endeared him to millons of people, young and aged, both in India and other countries. He is the most admired personality today and is truly a role model. Other coutries have already recognised him with high honours. We, Indians, should be proud of him. It is high time that his own motherland gives him the due recognition. He deserved nothing less than a "Bharat Ratna." I am a scientist and a senior citizen and making this suggestion with great discretion.
