When an A & R man describes his latest female signing as "the perfect R & B singer", no one could be blamed for being a tad sceptical. He would say that, wouldn't he?. But on hearing about a young girl from Birmingham from a friend of a friend, A & R man Lloyd Brown (AKA Daddy Bug) thought he might as well invite her over to the Rhythm Series office for a meeting. When she stood up and confidently sang her own songs accapella, he was quite simply blown away by her talent.
