I Concur

i concur are a Leeds-based guitar band built on a love of music Americana and delicate post-rock. Bands such as The National, Mogwai, Wilco and Low come high on their list of influences.

The band are Tim Hann (vocals/guitar), Toby Page (bass), Chris Woolford (guitar) and James Brunger (vocals/drums). Since their first gig in Janury 2007 they have played with the likes of The Twilight Sad, Napoleon IIIrd, Stateless, David Thomas Broughton, Vessels and Samsa.

While Hann’s lyrics touch on peculiar subject matters - from the unscrupulous mistakes of South Korean stem cell scientist Woo Suk Hwang (Decimal Places) to the barbaric extinction of the prehistoric crocodile (Exits Are Blockades) – their music takes intertwined guitar melodies and drives them through a powerful rhythm section into crescendos perhaps more familiar to post-rock enthusiasts than traditional listeners of alternative indie.
