Princess Diana was born Diana Frances Spencer on July 1st, 1961 at Sandringham, Norfolk, England to Edward John Spencer and Frances Ruth Burke Roche. Princess Diana was schooled in Norfolk and West Heath, Kent then attended finishing school in Switzerland.
As a child Princess Diana played with Queen Elizabeth II two younger sons Andrew and Edward as Diana's parents rented their property from the estate of Queen Elizabeth II.
In 1980 Diana Princess of Wales met Prince Charles and only a year later they were to marry. The wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana was a global event watched by 750 million people worldwide on television. The marriage took place on July 29, 1981, at St Paul's Cathedral, London.
Diana Princess of Wales and Prince Charles had two children Prince William, born on June 21, 1982 and Prince Henry on September 15, 1984, both at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London.
The tensions that developed in the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana are well documented and after 11 years the couple became officially separated, although the divorce didn't happen until 4 years later from 1992 Diana Princess of Wales had love affairs with both James Hewitt and Dodie Fayad.
It was in Paris on August 31st 1997 that the well loved Princess Diana died in a traffic accident along with Dodie Fayad, her new love.
