Built to Spill was formed after Doug Martsch left the legendary Treepeople to focus on his own music. Joining him in this endeavor were Brett Netson (Caustic Resin) on bass and Ralf Youtz (the Feelings, Halo Benders, and the No-No's) on the drums.
