Anna Paquin (born 24.07.82)
Anna Paquin is a Canadian-born New Zealand actress, best known for he roles on the HBO series 'True Blood', as well as her work in the 'X-Men' movies.

Net Worth: According to Celebrity Net Worth in 2013, Anna Paquin has a net worth of 14 million USD.

Childhood: Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to Mary and Brian Paquin. When she was four years old, Paquin's family moved from Canada to New Zealand, where she attended Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School. She went on to study at Hutt Intermediate School, before moving to Wellington Girls' College in 1995. In that same year, Paquin's parents divorced, and she moved with her mother to California and studied at Windward School in Los Angeles. She graduated in 2000, and started studying at Columbia University, but after one year she left to pursue her acting career.

Career: While living in New Zealand, Paquin's sister responded to an advert in the newspaper about an open audition for Jane Campion's 'The Piano'. This inspired Anna to audition as well, and led her to land the role in the film, out of 5000 candidates. Her performance earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of eleven, making her the second youngest to earn an Oscar. Paquin did not intend to continue acting, and continued to reject offered for roles, with the exception of a number of mobile phone adverts. She returned to acting in 1996, appearing in the films 'Jane Eyre' and 'Fly Away Home', before working on 'A Walk on the Moon', 'Amistad', 'Hurlyburly', 'She's All That' and 'Almost Famous' as a teenager. In 2000, she came into view of the public eye with her role in the film 'X-Men'. In 2003 and 2006 she reprised the role. In 2008, she appeared in her first television role in the HBO series, 'True Blood'. In 2010, she appeared as a cameo in the film 'Scream 4'. She then appeared in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' in 2014. Her role was significantly cut down for the theatrical release due to editing restrictions, and it was said she had 'essentially a cameo'.

Personal Life: While working on 'True Blood', Paquin began dating her co-star Stephen Moyer. The couple became engaged in August, 2009, and married in August 2010. In 2012, Paquin gave birth to fraternal twins Charlie and Poppy. During a public service announcement in 2010 for LGBT equality, she announced that she was bisexual.

'The Good Dinosaur' Is Disney's Latest Effort To Emotionally Defeat Us [Trailer + Pictures]

Anna Paquin Jeffrey Wright

After 'Jurassic World' hit earlier this year, it was obvious that dinosaurs were coming back into fashion. But if you still need reminding of how awesome those prehistoric creatures are, upcoming Disney animation 'The Good Dinosaur' will settle it for you. Easily. Prepare for all the feels.

The Good DinosaurArlo and Spot are unlikely best friends in 'The Good Dinosaur'

What is it about children's CGI films these days? The emotional turmoil you have to go through is astounding; we don't remember Disney doing that to us when we were kids. Except maybe with 'Bambi'. And 'Dumbo'. Nonetheless, when 'Inside Out' was released this year, it was remarkable to see a visual representation of feelings, and now the writer at the helm of that movie, Primetime Emmy nominated Meg LeFauve, returns with the screenplay for the 'The Good Dinosaur'; which is equal measures hilarious and tempestuous.

True Blood Recap: The Good Guys Face A Gang Of Vamps

Anna Paquin Stephen Moyer

Oh, True Blood, if only you could continue to delight and gross us out for a couple more years. The show has long since run its course at this point, but showrunner Mark Hudis and co. seem intent on going out with a bang. And by “bang” we mean lots and lots of blood, of course. We probably don’t need to say this anymore, but don’t read ahead if you haven’t seen the latest episode. EVERYTHING BELOW THIS IS SPOIlERS.

Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has stuck with her Sookie Stackhouse character throughout seven seasons of ridiculousness.

There’s no light reprieve in this one. As the episode begins, Tara is dead, her boyfriend is dead and Sookie is tasked with giving his father the devastating news. Meanwhile, Jason has a message to deliver too – Hoyt Fortenberry’s mother was killed by a vampire and Jason needs to tell his former best friend. This is how we learn that Hoyt is actually still a character on the show.

True Blood's Joe Manganiello Shines Light On Dramatic Season 7 Premiere Shooting

Joe Manganiello Alexander Skarsgard Robert Kazinsky Anna Paquin

True Blood season seven, episode three premiered with a bang last night, killing off one of the series characters in a twist no one saw coming. Well, not exactly no one: Joe Manganiello's character Alcide met his untimely demise after being shot but the actor has said he had sensed a change in the wind for some time.

In dramatic final season style, werewolf Alcide Herveaux was coldly shot in the chest before being shot again in the face by the gun-wielding humans of Bon Temps.

"I called it! I called it last year," the actor told Buzzfeed. "As soon as I read the Season 6 finale and saw that Sookie [Anna Paquin] got with Alcide, I turned to my then-girlfriend right away and said, 'They're going to kill me - and if they don't, they're crazy.'"

The Gloves Are Off And The Fangs Are Out For "True Blood's" Season Premiere

Anna Paquin Rutina Wesley

Welcome back to Bon Temps for a darker, bloodier True Blood season opening than we’ve ever seen. For the final season, the writing team has a fair few loose ends to tie, but with the first episode, they were mostly out to prove that TB still deserves its time slot on HBO. Beware of spoilers below.

Even the cast must be tired of going in circles at this point

It seems like the infected vampires, who attacked Bellefleur’s (aka Merlotte’s for you oldschool fans) also killed Tara. She will be missed – although maybe not, because her mother later has a vision, which suggests that her daughter – one of the best characters on the show – might not be dead after all.

'True Blood' Star Anna Paquin Talks Sex Scenes With Different Cast Members

Anna Paquin

Even though Anna Paquin stars alongside her real-life husband, Stephen Moyer, in 'True Blood,' performing sex scenes isn't as awkward as one may think.

In fact, stripping off for in front of the TV show's crew to get intimate with more than one cast member isn't even that uncomfortable, according to the New Zealand-born actress.

While attending the premiere of the seventh and final season of the hit HBO show, Paquin told E!News, "Actually, it's not really uncomfortable because we're all like kind of cozy and friends."

Vamps Of "True Blood" Might Be Coming To Broadway In Musical Adaptation

Anna Paquin Stephen Moyer

Singing, dancing vampires. It might sound like the entertainment industry is collapsing in on itself, but the concept is on its way to become a reality with a musical based on HBO’s True Blood. HBO is in “very early discussions” for the project, according to Variety. Even so, Nathan Barr, the composer behind True Blood’s score, already has a couple of songs ready for the musical. He plans to present the project to the network next year.

Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer
No news yet on whether Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer or any of the True Blood stars will appear in the musical.

“The story lends itself to a musical,” Barr told E! Online. “The challenge for us is the minute I thought about ‘True Blood: The Musical,’ I myself could kind of groan. I can see the bad version of that. It’s really a matter of finding a way of sort of reinventing it.”

X-men: Days Of Future Past Review

Excellent

Continuing to be the most original and resonant of the Marvel superhero franchises, the X-men return in the capable hands of director Bryan Singer, who again stirs plenty of meaty subtext beneath the thrilling action. He also has one of the best casts imaginable, including Oscar winners, cinema royalty, rising stars and matinee idols.

Best of all, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) returns to the fold after two less-than-thrilling solo adventures. He's at the centre of everything here, as Professor X and Magneto (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) ask Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) to send Wolverine's consciousness back 50 years to 1973. His mission is to prevent Dr Trask (Peter Dinklage) from inventing mutant-hunting robots, because they will go out of control and cause a present-day dystopia in which mutants and anyone who sympathises with them are killed. But Wolverine's biggest task will be to get the then-feuding Professor X and Magneto (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) to work together to keep renegade mutant Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) from making everything worse.

Thankfully, Simon Kinberg's script doesn't worry too much about the whole time-travel thing, shrugging off dubious logic by keeping the focus on the characters. And there are a lot of people to keep an eye on, which makes the film sometimes feel a bit crowded and leaves some characters barely on-screen at all (blink and you'll miss Anna Paquin's Rogue). The best newbie is Evan Peters' Quicksilver, who gets the film's most entertaining sequence as he races around tweaking an action sequence frame by frame. Other set-pieces are grippingly darker, and some don't quite make sense (why does Magneto feel the need to levitate an entire stadium?).
