In the wake of that shakeup at Warner Bros. that saw Bruce Rosenblum step down as president of Warner Bros. Television Group to become president of Legendary Entertainment's TV and digital media division, it was reported on Tuesday that Legendary is pulling out of its partnership with Warner's and setting up a new partnership with NBC and Universal. A formal announcement is expected later today (Wednesday). There was considerable speculation that Rosenblum's jump to Legendary after being passed over for the chairmanship of Warner Bros. made it tricky for the new chairman, Kevin Tsujihara, to retain Legendary. Nevertheless, The Deal with NBC and Universal won't kick in until the end of the year. Meanwhile, Warner Bros. and Legendary are partnered in Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim, which opens this weekend, and on another remake of Godzilla, which is due to be released next May.
