Actress Neve Campbell is happy to be labelled a big screen lesbian after
same-sex kissing scenes in six movies - because she thinks her openness has
helped make others more aware of homosexuality.
The WILD THINGS star, who locks lips with another girl in her new movie
When Will I Be Loved, insists she was among the actresses who sparked the trend
of lesbianism in films.
She says, "I don't know if there's an actress in Hollywood around my age
who hasn't done a scene like that at this point. It seems to be something
that's become much more accepted.
"I can't pretend it's not titillating to people in some ways, but it's
just an open mindedness that is occurring which I think is great.
"What we're starting to see in films is sex is becoming a little less
taboo which is nice because we have a selfconsciousness in America about
sexuality which we don't have about violence."
