Former South African leader Nelson Mandela has sparked further fears for his health after he was admitted to hospital again on Saturday (09Mar13), just months after undergoing surgery.

The country's former president, 94, spent nearly three weeks under doctors' care in December (12) as he battled a lung condition, and he also underwent an operation to remove gallstones.

He was back in hospital in Pretoria on Saturday and spent the night under medical supervision.

Further details about his condition were unavailable as Wenn went to press, but spokesman MAC Maharaj insists there is "no reason for any alarm".
