Reformed Neil Young & Crazy Horse are to join the charitable stars headlining benefit concerts for the victims of Superstorm Sandy.

The rockers have announced they will perform a special gig at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey on 6 December (12) with proceeds going to aid those still struggling in the aftermath of the tropical cyclone, which ravaged America's north east coast at the end of October (12).

Devastated by the damage and displacement caused by the hurricane, Young said, "Come on down here and join in the relief effort," as he announced the show, billed as A Special Evening With Neil Young & Crazy Horse, on Thursday (29Nov12).

Young is not the only big name helping to raise funds for the victims of the storm in December (12) - Bruce Springsteen and Paul MCCartney are among the stars set to rock Manhattan's fabled Madison Square Garden for the 12.12.12. The Concert for Sandy Relief, and Beck will headline a comedy benefit in Los Angeles.
