Neil Patrick Harris will star in the opening performance of the New York Philharmonic's 'Company' tonight (7th April 2011). Neil Patrick Harris is joined by Stephen Colbert, Christina Hendricks and John Cryer in the star-studded cast of the Tony Award winning musical, reports OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Neil Patrick Harris has been keeping fans up-to-date with the progress of the production via his Twitter page and he recently posted a picture of himself with Colbert, adding the caption, "Company rehearsals are exhausting madness". The 37-year-old actor, best known for his role on the hit sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother', plays the perpetual bachelor 'Robert' in the musical. Satirical comedian Colbert plays Robert's friend Harry, who has a drinking problem. The musical features a score by the acclaimed Stephen Sondheim and is set to run until April 9th at the Avery Fisher Hall.
Patrick Harris showcased his singing talents in the musical 'Rent', which he also directed in Los Angeles last year. He also featured prominently on the single 'Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit', by the cast of 'How I Met Your Mother'.
