NEEDTOBREATHE, the American rock band from Seneca South Carolina, have been chosen as the opening act for Taylor Swift's much anticipated tour of the US and Canada, according to CMT.com. The band, comprising of BEAR RINEHART, BO RINEHART, SETH BOLT and JOE STILLWELL, have released three studio albums to date.
20-year-old Swift, now one of the biggest female artists in the US, is set to head out on her 'Speak Now' tour in promotion of her record-breaking new album. The North American leg of the tour will begin in Omaha, Nebraska, on May 27th 2011, before heading to Orlando, Columbus, Detroit and Atlanta. The tour also includes a huge show at Los Angeles' Staples Centre. NEEDTOBREATHE have found success mainly in the mainstream pop and Christian rock genres, and their hit singles 'Something Beautiful' and 'More Time' were featured in the films 'PS I Love You', as well as on MTV reality show 'The Hills'.
Their new album is expected to be released on Atlantic Records in 2011. Speaking about being chosen to support Swift, guitarist Bo Rinehart says, "It means a lot to us that Taylor handpicked us for her Speak Now tour. Everyone knows she has amazing fans, and we thrive on performing live, especially in front of new audiences".
