Revered U.S. news reporter Garrick Utley has died at the age of 74.

The NBC news correspondent passed away from cancer on Thursday (20Feb14).

Utley began his career in 1963 as a journalist for Nbc news, where he reported on the Vietnam War.

Throughout his career, Utley served as an anchor for several U.S. networks and news programmes, including Meet the Press, breakfast show Today and Live From the Met.
