Rapper Nas is venturing into a new business deal by investing in a ticket search engine company.

The One Mic hitmaker is using his money to back SeatGeek.com, joining professional athletes including Carmelo Anthony and Peyton and Eli Manning in contributing a combined $35 million (£20.6 million) to the firm, which helps fans find the best deals available for tickets to live shows, games and other events.

Nas says, "I'm excited to be on board with the SeatGeek team.

"As our world gets more complicated, tools that give consumers simple solutions to make big purchases are going to win in the market, and we believe SeatGeek is that solution for live event ticketing."
