Moviemaker Nancy Meyers has turned her 25-year-old daughter's script into a new movie.
The Something's Gotta Give director recognised Haillie's writing gift at a young age when her daughter submitted an episode of TV sitcom Friends in high school, and now Meyers has broken a golden rule not to adapt another writer's work.
She tells WENN, "In college she wrote a screenplay and she's asked me to direct it, which I was just absolutely shocked that she wanted me to do it.
"I said yes, and it's the first time I won't be directing something I've written. It's so great and I'm honoured."
