A 90s kid's dream Valentine's - the guys of N Sync and The Backstreet Boys, all in one show.
Guys. N Sync reunion. It happened. As with most classic pop culture moments, it happened during an episode of SNL. And the Backstreet Boys were there too. It wasn’t a coincidence either, as Valentine’s Day marked SNL’s 40th anniversary episode, so they had to make it a bit more special.
Who even needs a Valentine, when you've got the full line-up of N Sync together again.
The N Sync guys tweeted about their appearance earlier in the day, from their official account: "'Together again...Gee, it's good to be together again' #SNL40.”

The awards usually provide someone with a boost, and this year was no different
It’s the same with any high-profile award ceremony; a spike in sales always welcomes the big-hitters. This year, Justin Timberlake’s reunification with the band that made him, Nsync, saw the band’s fortune rise just a little bit.

Turns out, it's all about Justin.
Any Nsync fans out there latently hoping for a full-fledged reunion to add to the band’s mini one at the MTV VMAs better get ready for some disappointing news: they’re not getting back together, and if anything, their brief flirtation with a comeback simply reminded them what split them up in the first place.
"It was funny because all of us getting back together, we remembered what we love about each other and what we hate about each other," band member Chris Kirkpatrick said Monday in a Florida radio interview with Johnny's House. "It was just a bit of fun. (U.S Magazine)
According to Kirkpatrick, the whole thing was designed to help Justin out; they were part of his set, and the goal was not to mess it up for him. "Honestly, when he talked to us I thought we were just coming out with mic stands and singing," he admitted. "When I came home from rehearsals my girl's like 'Why are you drenched?' . . .I'm too old for this! I was so worried about not messing up for him."

Ladies and gentlemen, we've been hoping since 2002. Finally, it came true at the VMAs.
Ok, the Miley Cyrus… thing happened and it’s unavoidable, but let’s focus on a positive side of the VMAs – the ‘N Sync reunion happened! After weeks of teasing, the prospect of a VMA performance by the boyband was wrought with more will-they-won’t-they tension than any given Sex and the City episode. And oh boy, did they ever.
Lance Bass expertly confused the media about the upcoming reunion.
For those of you, who missed it for whatever reason (we trust it was of vital importance) and don’t want to watch one of the many poor quality, not-entirely-legal recordings online, we’ll do a quick recap – a play by play, if you will. First we saw JT pop up on stage, in full suit and tie garb and with enough strobe lights to fit the occasion. Then, after a light solo from Mr. Timberlake, the rest of N Sync – Joey, JC, Lance and Chris, appeared in silhouette, before the band burst into a spot on rendition of their hit, Girlfriend, prompting cheers from the crowd (and from Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, watching intently from the front row.) Then the music moved smoothly into a remix of Bye Bye Bye, a personal favorite of many a 90s kid. The lads definitely proved that they can still not only harmonize like they used to, but they have the moves down pat as well.

Even Lance Bass himself can't quell the reunion rumours.
'N Sync reuniting at the MTV Video Music Awards. Well, 'N Sync might be reuniting at the MTV Video Music Awards. After the band reunited offstage in Miami to attend Justin Timberlake’s gig at the Sunlife Stadium, the internet went mad with rumours. As it usually happens, the good folk of Tumblr were at the front of the nostalgia-fuelled furor. Of course, Twitter wasn’t far behind either. However, rabid 'N Sync fans (hey, there’s no shame in it!) might want to cool their jets at this juncture.
Justin Timberlake will hook up with his old band mates at the upcoming Video Music Awards... apparently
N Sync reunion at the VMAs? Surely this is too good to be true! Well apparently this is supposedly what is going to happen at the Snday, 25 August awards show, according to reports coming from within MTV. Vulture first reported that it had heard from people working behind the scenes at the VMAs that Justin, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass and JC Chasez will once again be hooking up for a long, long awaited reunion.
Justin will be awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Awards at this weekend's ceremony
As already reported, Justin is already going to receive a special award on the night; the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in honour of his long-serving career in the music biz, but as good a news this is, the fact that he'll be there with the boys from his N Sync days just makes this the best news we've heard all week. After a thoroughly triumphant return to the music scene this year with his well-received 20/20 Experience and the upcoming follow-up, The 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2, it was thought that Justin's own success would get in the way of any N Sync reunion ever happening, but luckily this clearly isn't the case.

It was confirmed, by the New York Post, that 'N Sync members Jc Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick will be appearing on stage alongside Justin Timberlake. The group last performed in 2004 at a charity event, but their last televised performance was at the 2003 Grammy Awards.
