The 34 year-old singer adamantly denies dating the rap star, claiming that the false reports "are crafted for ratings & numbers,"
Ongoing rumors about Jay-Z's infidelity don't show signs of easing up, but at least one person can be crossed off the list.
The cheating speculation surrounding the 44 year-old rapper heated up when Beyoncé changed the lyrics of her song 'Resentment' whilst on her On The Run World Tour with her beau.
The lyrics of the 2006 track clearly tell a story of a women who has been cheated on.
Instead of singing the original lyric, "Been ridin' with you for six years. Why did I deserve to be treated this way by you?" she sings, "Been ridin' with you for twelve years. Why did I deserve to be treated this way by you?"
Thus changing the song to refer to the amount of time the 32 year-old has been with Jay, which has caused many to think she was cheated on.
However, Mya is not the women in question!
The confirmation came when a fan took to Instagram on Thursday (July 3rd) to ask her, "Heard you and Jay Z had an 11-year affair, are you his side chick or nah?"
"Never did, never was, never will," the pop star replied, adamantly denying any sexual involvement with Jay.
Rumors of Mya hooking up with the '99 Problems' rapper surfaced earlier this week when a blind item suggested he had been financially supporting and dating the 34 year-old singer for years.
"Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the 'media' for you - especially today," she wrote. "I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense."
"False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers," Mya continued. "And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless."
