Sophia have been described as Mogwai, who are big fans, and certainly give you an idea to the flavour of their sound. ‘Holidays are nice new version’ is from their reworked album. This track is introspective and full of uplifting simple guitar sounds to touch the heart and soul. Thoughts of freedom, escape and wondering thoughts come to mind when listening to this track. The music is played well with strong meaningful vocals. It is a well balanced track that has a purpose to evoke emotions and it does exactly that. A sweet uplifting song that works well.
