It seems anybody these days can knock out a half decent indi-pop single and get an underserved fifteen minuets of fame, reassuring then that Ausie duo Lovers Electric have not only been able to produce Honey (which in itself rises far above mediocrity) but also an eponymous debut album without one track that falls below the benchmark the single sets.
Opening with a jarring guitar riff that paves the way for (appropriately) honey-like vocals that tell the often-told-but-always-relevant tale of a problematic relationship, Honey along with its' equally catchy b-sides is a promising forecast of things to come.
