With one of the daftest band names of recent times, this Steel City based trio have made waves at the SXSW showcase and supported the likes of The Strokes. They'll spend February gigging across Europe before returning to the UK in March for an extensive tour.
From the same scene as Arctic Monkeys, but with a slightly heavier sound, "Lesley Parlafitt" displays the Jacket to be another band that use music to supply a social commentary. However, they lack Alex Turner's knack of producing an infectious tune at the same time, with the music proving uninspiring and being far too bland.
