Belgian dance duo Mumbai Science unveil a surreal video for their new single 'Déjà vu', which is set to be released on May 5th 2014 ahead of their debut album of the same name out May 16th through Lektroluv records.
The video follows a day in the life of a volatile, hooded man with grape wreaths over his face and hands. He visits a retro store and informs the female shop worker that he is 'Alex' and that he missed her. She, unable to recognise him, sprays him in the face with cleaning product before he runs from the store in pain and anger. He then goes on the rampage, stealing a woman's handbag, starting a fight with a young man who laughs at him, attacking an old man at a bus stop and car-jacking, before buying drugs and getting tasered by a security guard. The visual is accompanied by a repetitive spoken word rhyme over a souring dance rhythm and chaotic synth beat. The track has a serious social message and yet still oozes fun.
Best known for their hits 'Ancova', 'Gold' and 'Lotus', Mumbai Science have collaborated with numerous other artists on their first album including Peaches, Mixhell and DJ Spank Spank of Phture.
