Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy
A bouncy, frivolous affair, Mum have lost some of the solemnity of yesteryear and churned out an album that is part Euro folk, part Gogol Bordello, part arcade games and amusement parks, part nursery rhyme, part avant-jazz tomfoolery, part classical soundtrack, part ballad, part Disney themes, part ambient electronica.
Did I miss anything? Because they sure as hell didn't. Like a sponge being squeezed of every juice it ever held, Mum spew out all the music their tiny ears have ever held, in cute, perfectly mashed-together moments of madness.
