Reality-show guru Mark Burnett is expanding his presence in cable with a show built around David Fishof's Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp. VH1 Classic channel said today (Thursday) that it is teaming up with Burnett ( Survivor, The Apprentice ) to produce four one-hour episodes based on the fantasy camp in which amateur rock bands are trained by veteran rock stars, with the winner receiving a chance to perform with one of them. A statement by the cable channel said that "the journey will be anything but dull...fights will erupt and stage fright will ensue, ensuring that only those with rock n' roll in their blood will make it to the top!" Burnett's production company already produces two shows for VH1 Classic's corporate sibling, MTV, Starmaker and Bully Beatdown.
