MTV bosses have chosen to move the upcoming Latin American Music Video Awards after receiving storm warnings from weather experts.

After they were forced to scrap the Video Music Awards in Miami, Florida, in August (05) due to Hurricane Katrina, organisers have decided not to take any risks and have brought the LAMVAs forward a day.

The star-studded awards ceremony on Mexico's Caribbean coast will now take place later today (19OCT05) - before Hurricane Wilma is scheduled to hit the area this weekend (begs21OCT05).
