MTV bosses have cancelled a planned programme all about the making of their Super Bowl half-time show, fearing it would further incense viewers who were shocked by Janet Jackson's breast exposure.

MTV officials, who organised the 1 February (04) show, have come under fire for the controversy, which saw Justin Timberlake ripping open Jackson's bustier to reveal her right breast.

And now they've scrapped a planned THE MAKING OF THE AOL SUPER BOWL HALF-TIME SHOW, which was set to feature behind-the-scenes footage.

MTV's parent company, VIACOM, is among the broadcasters summoned to Washington this coming week (11FEB04) to testify at two congressional hearings on indecency and standards.
