Michelin-starred chef Marco Pierre White has already set the contestants on the new series of Hell's Kitchen their first test, making him a sandwich.
White ordered the celebrities to carry out the task before the show began, to find out their abilities and gain an insight into their personalities.
"If they make it simple and honest, that's who they are. [If] they make it flash, they're flash," he said.
Comedian Adrian Edmondson is currently the bookies' favourite to win this series, with former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar and Gary Lineker's fiancé Danielle Bux also taking part.
White was less than complementary about some of the celebrities' sandwiches, claiming singer Ms Dynamite's was "truly nasty". However, he praised Dynasty actress Linda Evans' effort.
Hell's Kitchen, with new host Claudia Winkleman, begins at 21:00 BST tonight on ITV.
