If I could make a wish, it probably wouldn't be for the production of more independent horror films in the U.S. Already, the formula's become too obvious and redundant: Take all your friends into the middle of nowhere, shoot the whole film outside (so you don't need complicated lighting setups), and bring lots of fake blood. For a story, just let loose a serial killer and start counting bodies until one is left. Throw in a twist at the end if you're so inclined.
