In an apparent effort to direct people away from pirate websites and toward legitimate websites where they download or stream movies and TV shows, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has launched a website, www.WheretoWatch.org, that lists all the legitimate video websites, with a link to each of them. Twenty-five websites are listed, 11 of which are only for movies and the remaining 14 for television. Some of the sites are free, others require cable subscriptions. In addition six video search sites are listed. In a statement, MPAA chairman Chris Dodd said, There have never been more ways to access movies and television legitimately online, and those platforms continue to grow and develop thanks in large part to a copyright system that encourages innovation, risk and growth.
