Morrissey's new album World Peace Is None Of Your Business has been removed from leading U.S. digital retailers iTunes.com, Spotify.com and Amazon.com amid a spat between the singer and his record label bosses.

It is unclear if the album has been pulled by the former The Smiths frontman or executives at Harvest, who he accused of failing to support the release by refusing to fund videos.

Morrissey recently claimed he had been dropped by Harvest - allegations that have been refuted by label bosses - and in a statement released on Wednesday (20Aug14) he warned fans the record would be removed from the websites.

He wrote, "I might be wrong, but I think World peace is none of your business will instantly disappear from iTunes and record stores and every download-upload-offload outlet on the planet, because Harvest technically have no right to sell it."

The album is still available on the U.K. versions of the digital sites.
