Veteran actor Morgan Freeman is to be honoured with a special award in Canada for his efforts to combat racism.
The Shawshank Redemption star will be feted at a ceremony in Toronto next month (May13) and handed The Key of Knowledge Award by Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
During the event, Freeman will take part in a question-and-answer session moderated by Canadian filmmaker Paul Saltzman, who worked with the actor on Prom Night in Mississippi, a 2009 documentary about the first ever racially integrated prom in Charleston, Mississippi.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards establishing the Morgan Freeman Scholarship Fund for international students at the university, according to Canada's National Post.
The gala will be held on 6 May (13).
