Jesse is already aware of the dangers of making a wrong move in the crime-led neighbourhood of Oxnard, California, but nothing would prepare him for a curious venture into the unknown that would engulf his soul in darkness. During a heavy party session, they see the body of a woman from the apartment downstairs being taken away as ambulances and police swarm the street. As time goes on, he starts to feel not quite himself as a supernatural and highly malicious force begins to take hold of him.
