British pop star Mollie King has been tapped to write a song for her teen idols The Backstreet Boys.

The singer, one-fifth of U.K. girl group The Saturdays, jetted out to Los Angeles last week (20Feb13) to work with the I Want It That Way hitmakers, and called the experience a dream come true.

In a series of posts on her page, King writes, "Ever since I was 8 years old Backstreet Boys have been my favourite band in the whole world... (Now I will be in) La to be in the studio with them while they record a song I've written for their album! Dreams can come true. Best afternoon ever meeting one of my childhood heroes!"

The blonde beauty shared a photo of herself with Backstreet Boys star A.J. MCLean, who also tweeted, "Me and Mollie from The Saturdays rocking new Bsb with (producers) the Jam. Gonna be huge."
