Former OC star Mischa Barton was reportedly rushed to hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday evening after suffering an adverse reaction to medication.
According to entertainment website TMZ.com the 21-year-old actress fell ill after downing "a few holiday cocktails" at a friend's barbeque to celebrate Memorial Day in the US.
Barton has been taking medication for bronchitis contracted during her travels between Cannes, London and Paris over the past few weeks.
Yet despite apparently forgetting that drink and drugs just don't mix, the star is supposedly none the worse for wear despite her ordeal.
A representative for Barton told TMZ.com that the actress, currently recovering in an LA medical centre, was with family and was "feeling much better".
Meanwhile Barton is set to enjoy some on-set antics in her latest movie project.
It emerged earlier this month that the London-born actress has become the latest celebrity to sign up to star in the remake of the classic boarding school comedy St Trinian's.
A range of famous faces from the big screen and world of pop have already agreed to appear in the movie, with the cast of the forthcoming flick reportedly including Girls Aloud, Rupert Everett and Colin Firth.
