Newlywed Miranda Lambert had to delay the start of her Riverbend Festival performance in Tennessee on Wednesday night (15Jun11) due to lightning.
The country star was advised to stay off the stage when storms swept across the festival grounds, and had to cut her set to only six songs when she finally stepped up to the mic 30 minutes before the festival curfew.
The 2011 Grammy Award winner was the second-highest paid Riverbend artist ever, and she seemed happy to get the chance to perform after the storm.
Tweeting after the show, she wrote, "I got 6 songs in! I promise I'll be back Chattanooga and we will rock with y'all all night! Love the awesome crowd for hanging in there!"
