British actress Minnie Driver was so disgusted when a London photographer constantly tried to aim his camera up her skirt, she enlisted a posse of elderly ladies to beat him up.
While Driver spent the summer of 2003 in her native city starring in SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO alongside former FRIENDS star Matthew Perry, she was disturbed by the attention a particular paparazzo paid to aiming his lens under skirt.
She says, "Every night by my car, he'd be squatting down (outside of the theatre) hoping that he'd get a picture up my skirt. Every night! And it's so revolting and awful. You can't do anything. You can't give them a good old kick like you'd like to.
"One night, there's 200 people standing outside and they're like, 'How's it going?' And I'm like, 'It's great, but I really hate that bloke over there sitting by my HONDA. Every night he's trying to take a picture up my skirt.'
"And about 20 of these people go, 'We'll get him. You can't get him, we'll get him!' And I'm like, 'Just knock him into the gutter, where there were loads of like dirty old hamburgers and revolting West End trash.' They rushed him - (mostly) lovely grannies with their shopping!"24/01/2005 21:20
