A crew member on the new Charlie's Angels television set has been fired for sexually harassing the show's main star Minka Kelly, according to U.S Star Magazine. The incident is believed to taken place on the Miami television set last month.
According to the report, a member of the crew approached 31-year-old Minka and slapped her across the bottom while holding a $100 bill in his hand. An insider on the set confirmed the incident was "meant to be a joke" but acknowledged it was inappropriate, adding, "Minka was shocked and absolutely irate. She was still fuming about it hours later". The crew member was removed from production by television bosses the following day, with the source adding, "The whole set was buzzing about the incident. It was quite a scandal. One day he was there, and the next he was gone". Star Magazine declined to reveal the identity of the fired worker, and neither Minka's representatives nor the show's spokesperson has commented on the incident.
Minka Kelly plays 'Angel Eve French' in the new series, based on the cult 1970's original. Her character is joined by crime fighters 'Kate Prince', played by Annie Ilonzeh and 'Abigail Sampson', played by Rachael Taylor. The show premieres on ABC on Thursday (22nd September 2011).
