Country singer Mindy McCready faces a possible jail sentence after arriving at a Tennessee court 10 minutes late for her trial on charges of drink driving offences on Monday (17JUL06). The troubled 30-year-old's late arrival prompted Judge SETH NORMAN to tell her she was in contempt of court, and he would later decide whether she would face a sentence ranging from a warning to 10 days behind bars. The GUYS DO IT ALL THE TIME star's legal dilemma is the latest in a long line of court appearances. In May (06) she sued her former boyfriend Billy Mcknight for $3 million (GBP1.6 million) in damages after he attacked her last year (MAY05). In 2004 she pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs. She was then charged with violating her probation on the drug charge by failing to check in with her probation officer and leaving the state without leave.
