Milla Jovovich likes to speak to husband and 'Resident Evil' director and scriptwriter Paul W. S. Anderson about what he has done with the story after she reads it, and asks him to put ''awesome'' parts in.
The actress - who has played lead character Alice in the previous three movies and is reprising the role for 'Resident Evil: Retribution' - tries not to get too involved with the story, but when she has finished reading husband Paul W. S. Anderson's script she likes to add some thoughts.
She said: ''Paul is the man who writes the scripts. I'm jus the person who reads them.
''I'll say, 'I really like it, but I wish something would happen that's really awesome.' He's like, 'Note taken. Something should happen here, and it should be really awesome.' ''
Paul is happy to receive Milla's input and will try and appease her when he can.
He added to Collider.com: ''But, that's a great note. It's like, 'I don't know what's missing, but it should be awesome.' And I'm like, 'OK, I'll go and write something awesome then!' ''
'Resident Evil: Retribution' is due for release in September
