The singer performed her tracks 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' whilst also creating a stir by smoking something on stage
Miley Cyrus loves to delve in controversy, and her appearance at the MTV Europe Video Awards was always going to include something that would create headlines. Naturally, the singer was skimpily dressed for most of the evening, but rather than do anything too sexually provocative the singer decided to light up and kick back instead, smoking what looked like a joint during her collection of the award for Best Video. They do say it's good for the nerves.
The singer kept her clothing to a minimal as usual

According to Us Weekly, Cyrus won the top video prize for her controversial 'Wrecking Ball' video and, while she was on stage, she lit up a celebratory - and supposed - doob. According to insiders, the singer wasn't only smoking on stage, as she took full advantage of the Netherlands' tolerance by smoking up all night in the backstage area.
"No one was expecting it to happen. It was so brazen, so shameless. It was so uncalled for," an unimpressed insider told Us.
Her performances weren't exactly up to the gossip-making VMAs showcase she put up in the summer, but they were both entertaining nonetheless. Miley opened the awards show with a space-themed rendition of 'We Can't Stop,' before taking to the stage again during the show to perform 'We Can't Stop' in front of a giant screen that played a video of her own face crying. Of course, it wouldn't have been a Miley performance without some twerking, and during the opening rendition of 'We Can't Stop,' the singer was up to her old tricks, this time with a dwarf by her side.
