A man arrested outside Miley Cyrus’ Los Angeles home this weekend has been charged with trespassing and evading arrest. According to TMZ.com, Mr Jason Luis Rivera was charged on Monday morning (September 10, 2012).
Cops responded to the singer and actress’ home early on Saturday after receiving a 911 call about an intruder at the property. Law enforcement say Mr Rivera – who was carrying a pair of scissors when first spotted by police – jumped the fence surrounding Miley’s house, though was apprehended shortly afterwards. After being questioned, the man told police he was in Miley’s garden because he wanted to speak with the pop star. Prison records showed that the 40-year-old was being held on bail of $1,000, though it’s unclear whether he has been released. It’s been a bizarre weekend for Cyrus, who is herself a suspect in a criminal battery investigation after allegedly striking a man at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday morning. The alleged victim filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department, claiming Miley attacked him during a heated argument also involving her Hollywood star fiance Liam Hemsworth.
A representative for the singer has labelled the claim, “completely false and erroneous,” while calls to Liam’s camp were not returned.
