Miley Cyrus, the American actress and singer who recently announced plans to turn her music video 'The Big Bang' into a feature length movie, has been talking up Britney Spears' new song 'Hold It Against Me' on her official blog. Ryan Seacrest played the track on his radio show earlier this week, several days before it was due to debut on iTunes.
The track, which has also been embraced by Britney's legion of fans, is the lead single from the pop superstar's as yet untitled seventh studio album which will hit shelves in March 2011. After the song became available to download yesterday (11th January 2011) 18-year-old Cyrus wrote a blog post on her official site that read, "Oh Em Gee! Just got the new Britney Spears song on iTunes hold it against me! It is my new jam! Obsessed! Can't quit dancing on set! Go check it!" The song contains a simple dub-step break, and upon hearing it Los Angeles based Electronic musician SKRILLEX told MTV News that it would "inspire people to do something different".
Responding to the positive comments from fans, Britney took to her Twitter page and posted, "Seriously, I have the best fans ever. I love you all so much!! Everything I do is for you! xoxo Brit".
