A lo-fi rendition of the Les Miserables song 'On My Own' found it's way on to YouTube this Sunday (28 July), but what makes this particular rendition special is the fact that it is from non-other than Miley Cyrus herself. The leaked cover was uploaded by LeakableMusics and although we have no real way of determining whether the cover is in fact Miley, it sure does sound a lot like her.

The classic stage song may have been covered by Cyrus

The leaked acoustic performance of the iconic theatre track is quite a departure from Miley's most recent recordings, that's if it is Miley singing at all. With her distinctive country twang heard throughout, it is either a very, very good impression of Miley or, more likely, an actual recording of Miley that has been kept away from the public until now.

On Monday (29 July), the singer made no mention of the Les Mis cover on her Twitter, but was keen to promote another video; the director's cut of her controversial new video for the track 'We Can't Stop.' The 20-year-old's updated video still features all the twerking and outrage of the original, but this time we've got the addition of her dog, Floyd, a finger getting cut off and an extended karaoke scene. Miley also sticks out her tongue a few more times, lifts her shirt for the camera and pretends to flash us all at one point too (to save you scanning through the video, you don't get to 'see' anything).

'We Can't Stop' is the first single from Miley's upcoming fourth album, which Miley is currently adding the finishing touches to. No word on an exact release date, but the still-untitled album is expected to be released by the end of 2013.
