Pop stars giving advice to pop stars – it’s a bit pot-calling-the-kettle black, but Miley Cyrus might actually have a point with this one. During an interview with Jay Leno last night (Friday), Miley got asked about Justin’s recent legal trouble and she dished out the ultimate rich person advice: “Party at your house. Buy a house, and add a club to it.”

Miley has already been in Justin's place, so she spoke from experience.

And the audience cheered. That probably wouldn’t have helped much with the assault charge, but other than that, it’s fairly sound advice. Miley compared her own experience to Justin’s and concluded that there is one simple difference – everything she does is legal.

“I get the most flack of anybody,” she said. “I’m not doing anything illegal. I’m doing a lot of s—, but I’m not doing anything illegal. Everything I do is legal in California.”

Once again, pretty good advice. Then again, Miley does have the advantage of age over Justin, having 21 years of experience to his 19. When asked by Leno whether she regrets any of the earlier scandals of her career, she said: “It’s funny, because today my fans put all these different people’s mug shots up and they were like “I don’t see a Miley mug shot yet.””

Justin Bieber, Mugshot
After Justin's arrest, however, it might be a little too late for advice.

Fair point. She told Rolling Stone last fall, “I do mentor him in a way. Because I’ve been doing this s— for a long time, and I already transitioned [to being an entertainer for adults], and I don’t think he’s quite done it yet….He’s trying really hard. People don’t take him seriously, but he really can play the drums, he really can play guitar, he really can sing….I tell him that. Like, ‘You don’t want to become a joke. When you go out, don’t start s—. Don’t come in shirtless.’ But the thing is I think boys are, like, seven years behind. So in his head, he’s really, like, 12.”
