Miley Cyrus is the cover girl for Cosmopolitan's December issue, which hits newsstands on November 5th (2013).

The 20 year-old was the mag's feature story and took part in an intimate interview, discussing being single, ignoring her haters and her position in the music industry.

Cyrus has been single since she split up from her fiancé, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, this past September (16th).

Speaking about relationships, she said "I need to treat my music like a relationship, give it my time and all the attention it deserves and that's my main love right now."

Adding, "This is the best time of my life. I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn't been dwelling over a breakup,' you know? Because that's not what God wants my life to be about right now. God wants my life to be about being successful and being happy and blessing other people and being blessed."

Miley has recently been linked to Rolling Stone photographer Theo Wenner, who photographed the 'Wrecking Ball' singer's topless shots for the mag's front cover in August.

Cyrus also discussed her rather large amount of haters, stating, "Even people who want to hate on me, they can't even shut down the fact that I'm literally what everyone is talking about."

But the former Disney star doesn't feel on top of the music industry yet as she feels she is an "underdog in a cool way."

"It's almost punk rock to like me because it's not the right thing to do," the singer reiterates. "Society wants to shut me down."

Cyrus has had a whirlwind year and she is finishing it off on a high as her latest studio album 'Bangerz' debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 charts-she must be doing something right!
