Miley Cyrus isn't concerned she could be ''alienating fans'' with her controversial image.
The 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker made her name on the Disney Channel with popular show 'Hannah Montana' before more recently shedding her good-girl image - and she admitted the series was just a way for her to achieve her real dreams.
She told The Sun newspaper: ''I'm not really worried about alienating fans. Everyone has to work on the things that they don't care about to get where they want to be.
''I had to do that for five years but I knew when I was older I would be able to do what I wanted eventually.
''Everyone has to work on something they don't love to get to something they do love.''
On the new song, the lyric ''dancing with Molly'' raised eyebrows because it was claimed she was singing about ecstasy - and while her producer insisted the line is ''dancing with Miley'', the singer admitted it was a drug reference.
She added: ''It depends who's doing what. If you're aged 10 it's 'Miley', if you know what I'm talking about then you know.
''I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they've already had to edit it so much.''
