Miley Cyrus insists she still plans to marry beau Liam Hemsworth.
Miley Cyrus has vehemently denied reports claiming she has called off her engagement to The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth. Sources close to Cyrus told Us Weekly magazine that the couple had been experiencing a rough patch in their relationship, though the Party In The USA singer insists they're still getting married.
"I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media. #draining," she tweeted on Wednesday. A source speaking to People magazine confirmed that the nuptials are set to go ahead, saying, "The wedding is still on. Miley and Liam have had some problems that they are working through. Miley doesn't think it's a big deal. She loves Liam and can't wait to marry him."
Rumors of unrest in the relationship began to emerge after Hemsworth was spotted leaving a pre-Oscars party with Mad Men beauty January Jones last month. The unlikely pair were photographed leaving celebrity haunt Chateau Marmont in the same car. Hmm.
Miley started dating Australian actor Liam in June 2009, after meeting on the set of romantic movie The Last Song. They announced their engagement last summer, as Hemsworth's career began to take off, landing several serious roles as well as a supporting part in the hugely grossing Hunger Games franchise.
