Miley Cyrus was lucky not to be at home during the early hours of yesterday (Saturday August 8th), because if she was she could have found herself being confronted by an intruder armed with scissors and a loose grip on reality.
Jason Luis Rivera was found hiding in the bushes of Cyrus' Studio City home in Los Angeles after scaling a wall to break into the compound. The LAPD had responded to a 911 call from people inside the house who had spotted Rivera after he had broken into the property and, after initially refusing to cooperate with police, the cops were forced to use a non-lethal Taser gun on him in order to draw him from the property, KTLA first reported.
Once removed from the property, police found that he was carrying a few loose dollars, ID and a pair of scissors. Whilst he was being searched he told police, "I am a friend of Miley Cyrus. I am. She's my wife. Me and Miley have been friends for five years."
Rivera is said to have told the people at Cyrus' residence that he hoped to see the singer, who, as already mentioned, was not at home at the time of the break-in. Rivera then refused to leave the property after being confronted by those at home and proceeded to light candles while until police arrived.
He was taken into police custody under burglary and trespassing charges and although this is his first offence in California, he allegedly has a hefty criminal record in his native Texas, including numerous trespassing charges.
