The hit show HANNAH MONTANA starring Miley Cyrus has finally run its course, the fourth season of the Disney series started airing yesterday (Sun 11). The children's TV show about a teenage girl has been a massive hit for DISNEY but as CYRUS reaches her 18th birthday she feels she has outgrown the role, telling ontheredcarpet.com "There's no way to take this character and make it 'Hannah Montana goes to college' and then Hannah Montana does what, what happens next? I think I'm just growing at just the right time, being able to put an end on this chapter and start a new one, at the right time."
In the 'HANNAH MONTANA SHOW' MILEY plays a pop star teenager who goes to school under the assumed name of Miley Stewart so as not to be recognised by her peers. Her father Billy Ray Cyrus plays her on screen father and the iconic Dolly Parton plays her on screen grandmother. First airing in 2006, the show has continued to amass large audiences, sell millions of albums and has even seen a spin off full length feature film, imaginatively named HANNAH MONTANA:The Movie.
Away from the show MILEY CYRUS has been pursuing her own career releasing 3 studio and 2 live albums and has recorded with stars such as BRET MICHAELS. Her latest Album 'Can't Be Tamed' was released on June the 21st 2010 and has been selling well around the globe. In recent history MILEY CYRUS has raised controversy regarding a photo shoot with Vanity Fair and her new, more mature, live show has also raised a few eyebrows.
