Review of Buriedfed Single by Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson

Review of Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson's single Buriedfed.

Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson Buriedfed Single

'Buriedfed' has been plucked from Brooklyn based MBAR's self titled 2008 album that he put together with a bunch of collaborators which included Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio. MBAR's youth was spent on the road travelling with his comedian father and also spent time as a drug addict; both these situations probably contribute to his melancholic, heartfelt lyrics.

'Buriedfed' opens with simple guitars which builds throughout and draws you into the song as a result. The album was recorded over a period of days as oppose to weeks with predominantly live takes which is clear from the single, this only add to the quality of the song. The thoughtful and soulful lyrics when analysed are very sad, death, anger and grief, but as a result of the arrangement and musical quality the song does not have any depressive overtones.

If you hear this single, you will want the album.
